Jacob

Hi I'm Jacob and I have been working at RTQ for around 4 months.

After I originally went to RTQ for my 11+, I found my time there incredibly helpful and it gave me a new found passion for learning that I still have over 5 years later.

I've enjoyed working at RTQ greatly as Jo and the other tutors are really friendly and supportive.

I felt part of the team almost immediately. But what I like most about it is being able to help the students reach their full potential and give them the same enjoyment for their work as RTQ did for me.

I find it's always rewarding to help a student finally get that one question they've been stuck on or help them write an incredible story.

In my spare time, I love to go outside to go climbing and walking and I'm a member of Mythomroyd Explorers, currently planning for DofE Gold Expedition.

I also enjoy taking my camera with me on walks and taking picture of the wildlife and scenery.

Freddie

I'm Freddie, I'm seventeen and I have been working at RTQ as a tutor for two years.

When I attended RTQ as a student for my 11+ I saw how caring and helpful all of the tutors were and it had a huge impact on me so I wanted to become a tutor and hopefully have the same positive effect on students that my tutors had on me.

I've really enjoyed working with Jo and the whole team at RTQ, finding it a productive but also extremely supportive environment.

My favourite part by far, however, has been working with the students. It's been a pleasure to work with students of all abilities and ages and it's definitely one of the most rewarding things I've ever done!

I have a strong interest in art and literature, finding them both incredibly fascinating and rewarding to study.

I'm dying to be able to go to galleries when lockdown is over because they're such peaceful places to go to and appreciate great works of art and I've missed them immensely.
